Exchange visit to FNPP on July 16 and 17
WANO Moscow Centre On-site Representatives visited FNPP.

WANO, the World Association of Nuclear Operators, monitors safety to help identify weaknesses and fix them. This happens through peer reviews.

Moscow Centre is unique in that it has its own representative at each nuclear power plant. A total of 16 people at 16 stations: 11 at Russian and five at foreign ones. The floating nuclear power plant now also has its own expert. This honorable mission is carried out by Nikita Kharkov, he combines the work of the head of the station division and the representative of WANO MC.

“The purpose of our visit is to meet with the management, technical specialists, and participants of the FNPP young generation, since this is the area of interaction and responsibility of our representative office,” says Vadim Tarykin, head of the WANO MC on-site representatives’ group.

And expert Lucia Parakhina recalled with nostalgia the years spent in Chukotka:
“My entire childhood and youth were spent in Chukotka, many warm memories are associated with it, and I was very pleased to return here 12 years later. Much has changed, but one thing remains unchanged - amazing, kind, strong-willed people live in this northern region, always ready to help.”
