Training course on “Leadership and Safety Culture in the Nuclear Industry for Plant Shift Supervisors”
From May 25 to 29, 2026, an international training course on “Leadership and Safety Culture in the Nuclear Industry for Plant Shift Supervisors” was held jointly by Beloyarsk NPP and WANO MC. The course was attended by 22 representatives from Beloyarsk NPP, other Russian NPPs (Novovoronezh NPP, Smolensk NPP, and Kursk NPP), as well as representatives from Rosenergoatom, Armenian NPP, and Belarusian NPP.
Participants highly evaluated the training course, noting the relevance and applicability of all the topics presented for both Beloyarsk NPP and other plants. They discussed the implementation of knowledge gained at WANO activities, as well as the current challenges facing leaders at NPPs.
The training course also included a technical tour of Beloyarsk NPP. In accordance with the “Train Trainers” concept, training materials, teaching methods, and video recordings of the course were presented and distributed to the Beloyarsk NPP management and specialists.
