Training course on “Leadership and Safety Culture in Nuclear Industry”

From March 24 to 27, 2026, a training course on “Leadership and Safety Culture in Nuclear Industry” was held, organised jointly by FSUE Atomflot and the WANO Moscow Centre. The seminar was attended by 30 representatives from FSUE Atomflot, Russian NPPs (Beloyarsk NPP, Kursk NPP, Novovoronezh NPP, Smolensk NPP), as well as representatives from Rosenergoatom, branches of Atomenergoremont, and Belarusian NPP.

During the training course, participants explored leadership issues and their impact on safety culture in detail. Participants highly praised the course, noting the relevance and applicability of all the topics presented, and discussed the implementation of knowledge gained at WANO events and the current challenges facing leaders at NPPs and FSUE Atomflot.

Following the course, participants visited the Marine Operations Headquarters and the Modern Arctic Exhibition Centre “Nuclear Icebreaker Lenin”.

In accordance with the Train Trainers concept, training materials, teaching methods, and video recordings of the training course were presented and transferred to the management and specialists of FSUE Atomflot.
