Rosenergoatom Follow-Up Corporate Peer Review
From November 11 to 15, WANO Moscow Centre conducted a follow-up corporate peer review of Rosenergoatom. The follow-up CPR team included seven experts from India, Iran, China and Russia, representing WANO Moscow and Tokyo centres. The team was led by Hossein DERAKHSHANDEH, NPPD Executive Director (Iran).

Observations and interviews were carried out at the company's central office, at Kalinin and Kola nuclear power plants. The team focused on determining the company's progress in resolving the issues identified in May 2021. The guiding document “Performance objectives and criteria”, PO&C 2019-1, was used as the standard against which the company’s performance was compared.

At the final meeting, follow-up CPR preliminary results were presented. The experts informed the company's management about the assessments of the current state of areas for improvement formulated in 2021.

Rosenergoatom Director General Alexander SHUTIKOV noted that after the CPR conducted in 2021, efforts were made to improve the company’s performance. He assured that the follow-up CPR team findings will be used in future work, as the company is committed to continuous improvement.

WANO MC Director Vasily AKSENOV noted the openness and professionalism of the management of the company and nuclear power plants, and thanked them for creating the necessary conditions for the effective work of the team. He expressed confidence that Rosenergoatom, as a dynamically developing company, will successfully cope with existing difficulties and new challenges.
