The 14th Operating Organizations’ Technical Directors / Nuclear Power Plants’ Chief Engineers Meeting (WANO MC CNO Forum)
On October 9-10, 2024, the Fourteenth Operating Organizations’ Technical Directors / Nuclear Power Plants’ Chief Engineers Meeting (WANO MC CNO Forum) was held in Yerevan (Armenia) by WANO Moscow Centre.
The meeting was attended by 30 managers and specialists: Technical Directors (Chief Engineers) of the OO/NPP of Armenia, Bulgaria, India, Iran, China, Russia, Rosenergoatom Concern JSC, First Deputy General Director - Director of VNIIAES-NTP, Deputy Director General – Chief Engineer of JSC Atomenergoremont, Chief Engineer of AtomTechEnergo Moscow branch “CentrAtomTechEnergo”, Chairman and Vice-chair of the WANO Moscow Centre CNO Forum, WANO Chief Executive Officer, WANO LO International Affairs Director, WANO MC Director and his deputies, WANO MC employees and JSC Concern Rosenergoatom employees.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange information on the main topic of the Conference "Continuous improvement: Beneficial Practices, Challenges and possible solutions", exchange information on operational experience in the member organizations of the WANO Moscow Centre, familiarization of participants with the Unity strategy of WANO MC until 2030, with the current status of the implementation of "Action for Excellence" initiative.
During the main part of the Conference, the participants presented reports on the main topic of the Conference.
Decisions made during discussions have been formalized in the Meeting Minutes.
During a technical tour on 11 October, the Conference participants visited the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant site and participated in a Meeting chaired by Eduard MARTIROSYAN - WANO Moscow Centre Governing Board Chairman-Armenian NPP Director General.
