Exchange-visit on safety culture and industrial safety
On October 2, 2024, WANO Moscow Centre held a meeting with representatives of State Enterprise Belenergo (Republic of Belarus) and Rosatom Technical Academy (Russia).
During the meeting, an exchange of experience on safety culture and industrial safety was held. Information on the main WANO activities was presented by WANO Moscow Centre. The following topics were discussed:
• Nuclear Safety Culture according to the WANO methodology,
• Industry trends of WANO MC: industrial safety,
• WANO MC Peer review for ensuring safety of nuclear power plants,
• WANO MC training courses on the topic “Leadership and Safety Culture at NPPs”, Industrial Learning and Development.
Following the meeting, a decision was made on cooperation and further interaction between WANO, Belenergo and Rosatomtech in safety culture, industrial safety and other areas.
