Crew Performance Observation (CPO) at Kursk NPP

During 14 to 25 March 2022, a WANO Moscow Center team conducted Crew Performance Observation (CPO) at Kursk NPP full-scope simulator. The CPO methodology allows the assessment of the knowledge and skills of operating personnel in safe operation of a power unit under normal operation, disturbance of normal operation and in emergency situations.

The WANO team included:
- Mikhail Sharov – Team Leader, Balakovo NPP;
- Vladimir Yurin – team expert, Leningrad NPP;
- Dmitry Bazarev – team expert, WANO MC;
- Oleg Shevchenko – team expert, Leningrad NPP;
- Dmitry Zerkal – team expert, Kursk NPP.
