Workshop on the WANO Peer Review methodology

A training workshop on the WANO Peer Review Methodology was conducted during March 28-30, 2017 at the Armenian NPP. The workshop aimed at familiarizing station personnel with the methodology and specifics of WANO Peer Reviews as well as training of new peers for WANO teams. WANO-MC advisers were delivering the training.
For three days 20 station employees from various departments passed through theoretical and practical training and recapitulation. Also four representatives of WANO young generation took part in the workshop. Based on the recapitulation results and feedback from participants training goals have been successfully achieved. Trainees obtain qualification certificates.

Training workshop was organized in parallel with preliminary visit of WANO Peer review. Thus trainees had a good opportunity to practice in making field observation with coaching from experienced experts.

Peer reviews are one of the main services that WANO provides to its members in order to encourage continuous improvement in work performances at the member plants. By conducting such workshops WANO Moscow Centre intends to attract more and more new and highly qualified industry workers to take part in the WANO peer reviews.
