Technical Support Mission at Zaporozhie NPP

During 20 to 24 March 2017, WANO Moscow Center conducted a Technical Support Mission (TSM) at Zaporozhie NPP (Ukraine), on the topic ‘Implementation of procedure for systematic approach to training (SAT) of NPP personnel. Training needs analysis’.

The following experts took part in the mission:
• Semenenko Oleg (WANO Moscow Center, Russia);
• Klimenko Konstantin (‘Central Advanced Training Institute of Rosatom’, Russia);
• Lukanova Nevena (Kozloduy NPP, Bulgaria);
• Roiko Viktor (Khmelnitsk NPP, Ukraine);
• Bronnikov Vladimir (WANO onsite representative at Zaporozhie NPP);
• Livinsky Viktor (WANO onsite representative at Zaporozhie NPP).


TSM purpose: Exchange of ideas and experience related to estimation of personnel training needs.

During the mission the following issues were discussed by the participants:
• implementation at the plant level of personnel training needs estimation procedure;
• frequency of personnel training needs estimation;
• distribution of responsibilities for training needs analysis;
• training programme for needs analysis performance;
• implementation at the plant level of procedure for assessment of training efficiency in the area of training effects;
• implementation at the plant level of procedure for feedback and accounting of feedback implementation suggestions, and training programmes updating, based on feedback results.

During the final meeting, the experts presented their recommendations and suggestions for implementation of SAT procedure in the plant personnel training process, in terms of training needs analysis.
