Technical Support Mission at Armenian NPP

During 20 to 24 March 2017, WANO Moscow Center conducted a Technical Support Mission (TSM) at Armenian NPP (Armenia), on the topic ‘Organization of incoming inspection, storage and maintaining material condition of equipment, spare parts and tools in storage. Estimation of the minimal supply of spare parts and equipment needed for maintenance performance’.
The purpose of the mission was to exchange ideas and experience, develop recommendations related to organization of incoming inspection, storage and maintaining material condition of equipment, spare parts, tools and accessories in storage.

The following experts took part in the mission:
1. Astapov Alexander – advisor, WANO-MC, Russia,
2. Sholokhov Andrey – expert, Smolensk NPP, Russia,
3. Zyrianova Svetlana – expert, Beloyarsk NPP, Russia,
4. Orlov Viktor – expert, Novovoronezh NPP, Russia,
5. Grinevich Yuri – expert, Kalinin NPP, Russia,
6. Kendgetsian Sergey – WANO onsite representative at Armenian NPP, Armenia.

During the mission the following issues were discussed by the participants:
• distribution of responsibilities among different plant departments in the course of incoming inspection;
• estimation of the minimal supply of spare parts, tools and equipment needed for maintenance performance;
• ways of surplus stock marketing;
• measures to prevent use of counterfeit products.

At the end of the mission, the experts discussed their suggestions with the plant specialists.

During the final meeting with Armenian NPP management, the experts presented the preliminary recommendations of the Technical Support Mission.
