Technical Support Mission at Novovoronezh NPP

During 20 to 24 March 2017, WANO Moscow Center jointly with WANO Paris and Tokyo Centers performed a Technical Support Mission (TSM) at Novovoronezh NPP, on the topic ‘Leadership in safety culture management’.

The following experts took part in the WANO mission:
• Conrad Dubé, former programme manager at WANO-PC.
• Nosov Andrey (WANO-MC).
• Manel Campoy (Asco Vandellos NPP, Spain)
• Ken Koves (WANO Tokyo Center)
• Elizaveta Vainonen (Fortum, Finland)
• Eduard Volkov (ONITs «Prognoz», Russia)
• Anatoly Karpinsky (Smolensk NPP, Russia)
• Evgeny Artelny (Leningrad NPP, Russia)
• Galim Musin (WANO-MC).

TSM purpose:
• Recommendations for improvement from Safety Culture experts.

The issues of interest for Novovoronezh NPP are listed below:
• Assessment of the current status, identification of directions for improvement in this area.

During the final meeting with Novovoronezh NPP management, the experts presented their recommendations for SC improvement and the draft TSM report.
